CDL's President and Shareholder Lou Cohen in December 3 edition of Palm Beach Daily News

On Saturday, Nov. 17 and Sunday, Nov. 18, Team CDL, family members and friends turned out for the BIg Heart Brigade in Palm Beach Gardens. The annual event brings out hundreds of volunteers to prepare and package meals for the less fortunate in the community, including wounded U.S. Military and First Responders. Twenty-six CDL representatives came out to volunteer - which helps more than 50,000 people in our community during the Thanksgiving/Holiday season. We are so grateful to our extraordinary CDL volunteers, family members and friends - and we all give thanks to wonderful organizations like the Big Heart Brigade for their mission of helping so many in the community.

And the winner of the American Heart Association's TOP DOG Contest is......CDL's very own Monique Morris' dog Sofie! A representative from the American Heart Association dropped off a gift basket to Monique to take home to the TOP DOG! Clearly Sofie is pleased with her winnings! Thank you to all for stopping by CDL's booth at the American Heart Association's Heart Walk!

Congratulations to TEAM CDL! We set a goal to sell 100 pies for Meals on Wheels’ 2018 Pie It Forward campaign and we did it! Team CDL beat last year’s pie sales (27) and it’s all thanks to CDL employees, clients, family and friends! And here is the best part – because of everyone’s generosity – 100 homebound seniors in Palm Beach County will receive one-week’s worth of delivered meals! On Nov. 20, pumpkin, apple and pecan pies arrived at the Firm – courtesy of CDL’s Audit Manager and Meals on Wheel’s Board Member Chris Micolucci and CDL's Tax Processor Kathleen Gallagher. One hundred pies were then carefully distributed to purchasers just in time for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The pies were delicious and we’d like to hear from you if you liked the pies or participated. We are so grateful to everyone who supported TEAM CDL and more importantly Meals on Wheels and their wonderful work helping local seniors!

On Saturday, November 10, CDL manned the American Heart Association's (AHA) Top Dog booth and instead of it being ruff - it was a blast! CDL was a sponsor of the American Heart Association's Heart Walk where walkers/runners and their pets were on hand to raise awareness about heart disease and heart healthiness. Participants stopped by CDL's booth to enter their pets in the TOP DOG photo contest or have them cool down at the hydration station . It was a terrific morning to meet so many participants and their pets all in support of a great cause!

On Friday, Nov. 9, Team CDL was on hand to show support for Leukemia and Lymphoma’s Annual Light the Night Walk. Team CDL came in fifth place as the Top Corporate Team. In addition, Keith Pence and Michelle Vanderwall came in as the respective number five and six Top Fundraisers among 335 who participated. Congratulations to all for such a successful showing and fundraising effots! (l. to r. top row): Renaud Lindor, Keith Pence, Tiffany Rinda, David, Mia and David Thorson, Joanne Lepore, (l. to r. bottom row): Matthew and Dayneris Hurtado, Hailey and Ethan Rinda Aaron and Nora Hershman, Yinett Florentino and Danielle Lefebvre

CDL Team Members were on hand for this morning's Be Bold in Red Breakfast for the American Heart Association (AHA). Guests enjoyed breakfast, a heart-healthy cooking demonstration and learned how they and others can "join the movement" to get heart healthy. Kudos to CDL's Andrea Rossi for volunteering to be part of the Better U Challenge and Shannon Foster for being one of AHA's Executive Committee Members. Next up - Join CDL at the AHA Heart Walk on Saturday, Nov. 17 beginning at 8:00am. CDL will be manning the Top Dog Booth where participants and their dogs can cool off, enter a photo contest for prizes, and take home some fun giveaways for your furry friends. L.to r. - Andrea Rossi, Tricia Allahar, Soana Fuentes, Rachel Commerford, Diana Walter, Shannon Foster and Dave Donten

CDL was once again the Premier Presenting Sponsor for Crohn's and Colitis' Take Steps Walk West Palm Beach at CityPlace. The event took place Saturday, Nov. 3 and more than $96,000 was raised by Team CDL for the Foundation. Since 2010, Team CDL has raised more than $520,000. The money will be used for important research and the advancements in finding a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This year's event was especially exciting because Rebecca Levine, daughter of shareholder Joel Levine, was named the 2018 Honored Hero. Team CDL was excited to once again be part of the 2018 Take Steps Walk and support families and friends throughout Palm Beach County!

The link is below. Pies are $25.00 - pumpkin, apple, pecan and gluten free. Reduce your baking time this holiday season or just say thank you to someone special with a purchase.
