The vision for CityHouse began with a few families who were providing temporary shelter for children through a program called Safe Families. This program helps divert children from being placed in the child welfare system while the mothers seek to reestablish themselves so that once again they may care for their own children. Effective care was provided to the children apart from their mothers, while a desire to do more for their mothers was ignited. Over time, it became clear that if more emphasis could be placed on the family unit rather than just the children, these single mothers in need would have better opportunities to develop healthy lifestyles enabling them to provide sustainable, loving and proper care to their children. We established CityHouse in 2014 to provide long term, transformational assistance to mothers and their children.

Witnessing violence can have an detrimental effect on a women and child's psychological well-being. Women and children who witness domestic violence on a regular basis are at risk for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Depression and much more. * * Some of the CityHouse resident's have been affected by domestic violence. Although they have been bruised, they are not broken. Through CityHouse, we are working hard to empower our women and children by helping to create a better environment for a better future. We are inviting everyone to speak up and to spark change by using the hashtag #speakup on Instagram. * * If you or someone you know needs help, know that you are not alone and call 1−800−799−7233.

Did you know that we currently have six families living at CityHouse? With your help, we are working towards breaking the cycles of poverty and assisting these families to independence. Although CityHouse is instilling life-changing skills, values, and character into the women we serve, we need your help to make our efforts go even further! There are many ways that we can partner together to bring hope & renewal to homeless single mothers and their children. Please go to to learn more on how you can get involved with CityHouse!

CityHouse is looking for four volunteers that can foster nurturing, supportive, intergenerational relationships through academic tutoring after school or on weekends. This opportunity provides positive role models in their lives, which can enhance all aspects of their development and leave a lasting memory that is forever cherished. The residents that need tutoring are between the ages of 5-30. The subjects include Math, Science, Social Studies, English, GED Prep and more. If you are interested, please contact us at (561) 303-3940.

Did you know swapping clothes is a great way to help the environment? It reduces our impact on the clothing footprint and allows clothes to last longer. You bring items that you would like to let go of and in turn take home new to you items! At swaps, you can find anything from basics, to one of a kind gems that you wouldn't have normally picked up at a store. We would love to have you join us for our next Clothing Swap on November 10th from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at the New Generation Montessori in Delray Beach! A $10 donation is requested for every 5 items of clothing you choose! If you have any questions, reach out to Ashley at Hope to see you there!

Last week, we had an amazing night of family and fellowship for our CityHouse residents by throwing a potluck dinner! We thank all of our volunteers who showed up and had the opportunity to spend time with us. ☺️🤱🏾♥️👩‍👦
