The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and life.

We have implemented two job readiness courses for our clients, as well as have established and grown Y.E.S! Palm Beaches, our very own networking group for young, professional women under 40 in Palm Beach County.

We work with approved referral agencies in our community who send job-ready women to our career transformation center. Referral agencies include domestic violence agencies, homeless shelters, and job-training programs.

Dress for Success provides each woman with one suit and accessories when she has a scheduled job interview. We also provide interviewing skills so that each woman feels comfortable with her upcoming interview. When a client successfully lands the job, she can then return to Dress for Success to get up to a week’s worth of business-appropriate separates.

If for some reason a client does not get the job she interviewed for, she can join one of our job readiness courses where she will receive the DISC profile, resume assistance, get additional interview coaching, and be paired up with a mentor to assist her on her journey. Next Step, is our job readiness course for young women, ages 18 to 24, who are at risk or are aging out of foster care and lack the skills and abilities to obtain employment and break the cycle of poverty. New Directions is a job readiness course for women ages 25 and older, who are either unemployed or underemployed.

Our Agency Relations Co-Chairs, Dianne Cirone and Ellen Gorringe, visited Mary's Shelter of the Treasure Coast to discuss DFSPB programs. They also brought interview clothing to a Mary's Shelter client who was unable to come to us!
