The Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce announces that the 5th Annual Delray Beach Wine & Seafood Festival will NOT be held in 2016.
In light of the ongoing conversations in Delray Beach regarding road closures and special events policies, the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce has been working since March on plans for a smaller, more up-scale version of the Delray Beach Wine and Seafood Festival, one which would require no road closures. The intent was that this event would be held on the grounds of Old School Square and OSS Park. After working with the City of Delray Beach, the City did indeed, on July 6th, 2016, grant provisional approval to an event on OSS Park. However, given the remaining time prior to the intended November date of the event, we were not confident we would be able to produce an event at the quality level that we and the City of Delray Beach desired for 2016. At this time, we are still evaluating our plans for 2017.
Delray Beach continues its’ decade long tradition of producing unique and entertaining street festivals. Now in its forth year the Delray Beach Wine & Seafood Festival offers visitors the opportunity to stroll the palm tree lined streets of Delray while enjoying a great glass of wine or a plate of delectable seafood. www.dbwineandseafood.com
