Dr. Gianni Bianchini and the Type 1 Trio

Dr. Gianni Bianchini returns to Arts Garage for his milestone 10th performance, joined by the Type One Trio to celebrate the release of his new album. Blending the timeless spirit of the American Songbook with fresh, dynamic arrangements, this special evening showcases Bianchini at his finest as both pianist and vocalist. Audiences can expect a mix of beloved favorites from past ten shows along with exciting new material from the upcoming record.

PERFORMER BIO:

Dr. Gianni Bianchini is among the leading pianist, vocalist and organist in today’s jazz scene. He has played, recorded or studied with many of jazz’s prominent artist such as; Jason Marsalis, Arturo Sandoval, Joshua Redman, Jeff “Tain” Watts, John Scofield, Stefon Harris, Kenny Werner, Gil Goldstein, Justin Faulkner, Duffy Jackson, Ira Sullivan, Steve Bailey, Frank Vignola, and countless others across from around the world.

An accomplished educator, Dr. Bianchini has held faculty positions at New York University and the University of Texas, and served for a decade as Director of Piano at Berklee College of Music’s Global Partner, La Universidad San Francisco de Quito. He is currently on faculty at Palm Beach Atlantic University helping to shape the jazz community in his hometown.

Dr. Bianchini holds a Bachelor of Music (magna cum laude) from Berklee College of Music, a Master’s degree from New York University, and a Doctorate in Jazz Piano Performance from the University of Texas.
