Run with the Chief On The Avenue

The Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority is proud to support Run with the Chief On The Avenue, a community walk and run taking place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Downtown Delray Beach. Led by Police Chief Hunter alongside members of the Delray Beach Police Department, this event is designed to encourage community engagement, wellness, and connection throughout the downtown district.

The event will begin and end at Libby Wesley Plaza, located at SW 5th Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. The one-mile route will travel east on Atlantic Avenue to NE 2nd Avenue, north on NE 2nd Avenue to NE 2nd Street, and then return to Libby Wesley Plaza.

Event Schedule:
• Setup and road closures begin at 6:30 AM
• Event start time: 8:00 AM
• Event end time: 9:00 AM
• Breakdown and road reopening: 9:30 AM

Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate, whether walking or running, and enjoy a morning of fitness and fellowship in Downtown Delray Beach.
