Lace up for a breathtaking Sunset Stroll at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach on Thursday, April 23, from 5:30–8 p.m.

 

Sunset Stroll will feature “The Mysteries of Yōkai” with Marcela Lopez Bravo, Florida International University Asian Studies Graduate Program Director and Assistant Teaching Professor. Guests are invited to join her for engaging talks exploring the fascinating world of Japanese yōkai (spirits), including where they come from and the stories behind these legendary creatures. Performances will take place in the Theater. Times are 5:50 p.m., 6:35 p.m., and 7:20 p.m.

 

Highlights will include live taiko drumming by Fushu Daiko, South Florida’s premier Japanese taiko ensemble, celebrating over 35 years of performance. Their high-energy shows will take place on the Terrace. Guests can also enjoy koto performances by Emiko Koto in the Sakai Room. The music performances each feature three showtimes; full details and exact times can be found on the event webpage.

 

Additional highlights include Asian-inspired cuisine and refreshments from Cornell CaféNiigata SakeKaminari Ramen, named “Best Food Truck” in the 2026 Palm Beach Post Community Choice Awards, and Akiko-ya Japanese Sweets, offering traditional confections.

Cost is $5 for members (Children 17 & under: FREE) and $12 for general admission (Children 6-17 years: $7; Children 0-5 years: FREE).
